SCE is honored to recognize Steve Edwards (B.S.E.E. ’78), Chairman and CEO of Black & Veatch as our 2015 UMKC SCE Alumni Achievement Award recipient. He is just the seventh person to lead the company since its inception in 1915 and is a member of the SCE Executive Advisory Council. Through his support, the Black & Veatch Scholarship was established and his company regularly recruits SCE students and partners with UMKC for continuing education classes at Black & Veatch’s world headquarters. Each year, the UMKC Alumni Association Governing Board and the campus recognize outstanding individual alumni, and one family, with top honors, celebrating their achievements and service at the April 23 luncheon event.
